About the project
* A Land Very Close is a place of fun, magic, interaction and imagination for all children and their families. It’s easily accessible to all - simply through an engagement with music*
The project has evolved through many years of work by music leader Ceilidh-jo Rowe into the therapeutic possibilities of music and how it can build self-confidence, help with speech development and provide families with wholesome, non-screen based fun for many years!
Ceilidh-jo is very focussed on inclusion - she is a qualified BSL sign language user and her events are accessible to all.
She also produces CDs of children’s songs from around the world. Being acoustic and natural the CDs are loved by children and parents alike. There are currently 4 titles - available here!*
Here’s a lovely review from Susanne Gillis (mother of 2) - “I have found no other [children’s music] that even comes close to this wonderful collection. The music has it’s roots in history but speaks to our 21st century kids. It charms my 2 young kids into blissful contentment as they are transported to a magical land. I would recommend this album for all families, not only but also as an antithesis to our charts filled with cheap plastic pop. It inspires our children to play real music”
Ceilidh-jo also distributes her albums to retailers. For more info please get in touch.
“We have stocked Ceilidh’s CDs for several years now and they have proven consistently popular. We love them!” - Kerstin Price at Playfull Independent Toyshop, Bristol.
